“He’s the answer to all our problems and is there with us every step of the way”
Hi my name is Aaron Caldwell, I’m 32 years old and I’m from Campbellsville, Ky. I was raised in a loving home with great parents who raised me in church and taught me how to work hard for a living.
When I was 21 years old, I became a police officer and was one for 6 years. I was a K-9 handler for 3 of those years.
I had a back injury and had to have a couple back surgeries. My addiction started with prescription pain meds and eventually progressed to other drugs.
I was married to a beautiful woman and had a beautiful son. But my addiction was more important to me than anything and I lost my family, job, and all my material things. One of my main problems that I couldn’t get over was looking back at the man that I was. I threw away all I had built for myself and my family for drugs.
I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, what job you have or had, how rich or poor you are. Addiction doesn’t discriminate. It just doesn’t care and will take you and control you.
I’m also here to tell you that there is Hope and an answer to your problems. The Lord Jesus Christ. What he has done for me and brought me through is a miracle. If you don’t think so just look at that picture. I was knocking on deaths door and wanted to die, but he brought me out of that mess and saved my life.
He’s the answer to all your problems and he is there with us every step of the way. He forgives us of our past and our mistakes and he said he’ll remember them no more… How awesome is that?? He will wipe our slate clean and give us a fresh start. That’s just how awesome he is.
I have to give a huge shout out to Isaiah House for all that they have done for me and for not giving up on me when I wanted to give up on myself. If you need help or know someone that needs help, I definitely recommend that You call the Isaiah House.
When I cast all of my pain, worries and problems on God and told him I couldn’t do this without him, that’s the moment my life changed. I’m happier now than I ever have been in my life. Thanks to our Lord and Savior.
