Aaron Reames Testimonial

My name is Aaron Reames. I’m 24 years old and I’m from Louisville, Kentucky. I am now 9 months clean and sober, and I give all the praise to God for that.

I started using drugs at a very young age which was about 14 years old. I started off like everyone else drinking alcohol and smoking weed. At about 15 years old, I started using IV drugs. I’ve been hospitalized because of overdoses on heroin and methamphetamine four different times. I have overdosed several other times when I was not taken to the hospital. That’s how I know God has a plan for me.

I was always trying to cover up something or fill a void in my heart by using drugs. I have been to many treatment programs, but all of them had the same thing in common. They didn’t put God first. They were all secular programs. In the past, I would stay sober for a very short period of time after treatment, but this time it has been different.

This time I was introduced to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Now, I’m not going to lie it took a few times to get it right, but I can stand up now and say I’m a Child of God and I’m sober today. There’s not much more I can ask for. I have a roof over my head and the love of Jesus in my heart.

I owe a lot of praise to the Isaiah House Treatment Center for reuniting me with Jesus Christ. Thank you to everyone who stood by me through the madness. Thank you for reading my testimony. I hope this helps someone today. There is hope for addiction and I am living proof.
