Deeanna “DeeDee” McCallie is a distinguished nursing leader and clinician with over 26 years of experience, currently serving as the Administrator of Capacity Command and the Decedent Affairs Office at UK HealthCare. Her career is defined by her deep commitment to hospital management, organizational development, and the continuous pursuit of quality improvement and patient safety.

With extensive expertise in operations, performance improvement, and strategic planning, DeeDee has consistently demonstrated her ability to motivate and lead diverse teams to achieve exceptional strategic, financial, and quality outcomes in patient care. Her skillful approach to change management and her dedication to enhancing organizational outcomes through relationship-building are hallmarks of her leadership.

In addition to her role at UK HealthCare, DeeDee contributes to the community as a board member of the Isaiah House, where she applies her knowledge and passion to support critical health and wellness initiatives. Her service to the Isaiah House underscores her commitment to improving lives and fostering community well-being.

DeeDee’s journey in nursing began over 25 years ago and has been deeply influenced by her personal experiences. Adopted by loving, Christian parents, she treasures the supportive and nurturing environment they provided. Previously, DeeDee has also served as a board member for the PTA at Meadowthorpe Elementary and the Kentucky Nurse Action Coalition (KNAC), reflecting her broad commitment to education and nursing advocacy.
