Isaiah House Mobilizes Flood Relief Effort for Eastern Kentucky

HARRODSBURG, KY (February 17, 2025) – Isaiah House Treatment Center is rallying to support Eastern Kentucky families devastated by recent severe flooding. The center has launched a donation drive to collect essential supplies to aid in the recovery process, with a focus on providing cleaning materials to those in need.

“We are committed to being there for our neighbors during this challenging time,” said Kara Ball, Chief Development Officer at Isaiah House Treatment Center. “The recent floods have left many families with significant damage, and we want to help them begin the recovery process. Our goal is to provide much-needed support and relief to get them back on their feet.”

The recovery community is uniquely positioned to support others in their time of need, as many have experienced the power of community support in their own recovery journeys. “Our team knows firsthand the importance of coming together to lift each other up. The strength and compassion of our recovery community are key in helping these families rebuild,” Ball added. “We are grateful to see this spirit of support shine through once again as we help those who are struggling.”

Donations will be collected at Isaiah House’s Harrodsburg location, and trips to deliver supplies will begin this Friday. The center encourages staff and the community-at-large to get involved by donating, sharing the word, and offering support wherever possible.

“Our community is incredibly resilient, and together, we can help these families rebuild,” Ball continued. “We are so thankful for everyone coming together to make a positive impact in Eastern Kentucky.”

I show up gently, day by day.
A breath, a step, a choice to stay —
That’s how I find my healing way.

No need for loud, no need for race,
Just learning how to hold my space.
And every time I chose to learn,
A part of me begins to turn.
