As a devoted board member of the Isaiah House Board of Directors, Chairman of the Hope Network and Boyle County ASAP, and Director of the Circle of Hope, James plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of these organizations and uplifting those in need.
With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the United States Air Force, James brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his various roles. Rising to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant before retiring in 2011, he served his country with honor and distinction, undertaking assignments that took him to far-flung corners of the globe.
James’s commitment to lifelong learning is evident in his academic achievements. He holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with Public Leadership from Campbellsville University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies from American Military University. Additionally, he has earned Associate degrees in Communication Technology and Logistic Management from the Community College of the Air Force.
Born and raised in Danville, Kentucky, James’s roots run deep in his community. He remains deeply connected to his hometown and is passionate about giving back to the place that shaped him. His dedication to service extends beyond his professional endeavors, as he volunteers with the Boyle County Task Force for Homelessness.
In his current role as the Reentry and Program Director for the Boyle County Detention Center, James works tirelessly to support individuals transitioning back into society, providing them with the resources and guidance they need to rebuild their lives.
James’s most cherished role, however, is that of a father and grandfather. With four children and five grandchildren, family holds a special place in his heart.
