Board Member

Nancy Blackford is a dynamic force for positive change, dedicating her life to serving others and making a lasting impact on her community and beyond. As a member of the Isaiah House Board of Directors, Nancy brings her wealth of experience, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the table, ensuring that those in need receive the support and resources they deserve.

Retired from Fayette County Public Schools after over 30 years of dedicated service as a bookkeeper at Henry Clay High School, Nancy now channels her expertise and passion into her role as the Coordinator for the Woodford County ASAP. In this capacity, she works diligently to remove barriers and fears, empowering individuals to overcome substance abuse and reclaim their lives. In addition to her role with the Isaiah House, she also serves on the board for the Woodford Bluegrass Community Fund. Her involvement in these organizations reflects her deep-seated passion for community empowerment and the eradication of substance abuse.

Nancy’s commitment to service extends beyond boardrooms and policy meetings. She volunteers her time with senior citizens programs, as well as the Woodford Women’s Club and Business Professional Women’s Club, where she works tirelessly to uplift and support those in need.

Away from her professional and volunteer commitments, Nancy’s adventurous spirit leads her to explore the world’s wonders with her loving husband, Larry. From the vibrant streets of Dubai to the ancient wonders of Greece, Egypt, and Thailand, she embraces new cultures, experiences, and perspectives with open arms.
