Lisa Walker Center for women opens

The Lisa Walker Center on the Isaiah House Harrodsburg Campus began serving women in the month of February. The Lisa Walker Center is a 16-bed, short-term treatment center for women providing a gold standard of care for addiction treatment.

A grand opening for the center is scheduled for Monday, April 29, beginning at 11 a.m.

10 baptized, 8 give their hearts to Jesus

God is continually on the move at Isaiah House, and that was even more evident as 10 men from our Greg Bowen and Jake Kuertz Centers were baptized at Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy by Isaiah House Chaplain Keith Creech.

Eight more men gave their hearts to Jesus during morning worship on the same day. The power of God’s love and grace was definitely shining on the faces of these 18 men.

Isaiah House attends No Shame Left premier, Kingdom Advance Network

Isaiah House Treatment Center hit the road in the month of February including stops in Paris and in Campbellsville to spread the word about Isaiah House.

We set up a resource table at the No Shame Left series premier on Breaking the Stigma Sunday at First Baptist Church in Paris and participated in a Q&A session at the event, aimed at helping the church respond to the opioid epidemic.

Isaiah House also traveled to Campbellsville to attend the Kingdom Advance Network, a networking event for pastors and Christian leaders across Kentucky. We met up with our friends from Revive Lifehouse in Nicholasville as well.

Rise Up visits Montgomery Co. Jail, Sand Spring Baptist Church

Rise Up, the praise band of Isaiah House Treatment Center, played at several venues during the month of February. Among them were Sand Spring Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Ky. and at the Montgomery County Jail. Public Relations Assistant Jeff Goins played for the inmates and shared his story, along with Public Relations Manager Jordan Wilson.

Isaiah House hosts Lexington Mayor’s office

Isaiah House recently hosted Andrea James and Amy Baker from Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton’s office. Andrea and Amy visited the Chaplin campus, where Isaiah House VP of Programs Kevin Horn and the public relations and development staffs provided a tour of the facility and answered questions.

our February “5 Star Employee of the Month!”

Congratulations to Eddie Barker, our 5 Star Employee of the Month!

Eddie’s job is a Maintenance Technician. He has been working at Isaiah House for 3 years in March. He couldn’t describe his responsibilities because his days vary so much so we’ll say he fixes, builds, welds and maintains our 5 facilities as a part of the Maintenance Department. He is on the go daily.

Eddie is a graduate of Isaiah House’s long term program. He was chosen by his peers to receive this honor. He will park in the Employee of the Month parking space and will enjoy lunch with President Mike Cox. Eddie is an asset to our team. We are glad that he is a part of our Isaiah House family.

Renovations occurring at Isaiah House

Isaiah House is currently in the process of renovating the bathrooms at the main facility. Our maintenance crews are in the process of renovating the showers and toilets with new tile and piping, along with replacing urinals with stalled toilets. Renovations have been taking place in the kitchen too, with new exhaust fans being installed.
